Another successful sign up to the Disability Taxi Charter!

Another day to celebrate for Pro-Active Community Chair Leanne as she met with Metro cars in Crawley to discuss the Disability Taxi Charter members have drawn up, following a year long campaign.

As the second taxi firm to sign up, and the first in Sussex agrees to commit to the 8 Charter categories, Irfan spoke on behalf of Metro Cars to say, “All these are what every taxi driver should already do, we do here and pride ourselves on making needed adjustments if we have to. Sussex drivers complete the disability awareness as part of our licence”

“It is important when booking a taxi to make certain you tell them what your needs might be, a lower car for example, or extra space for bags or a wheelchair, so we are despatching the right size car”

Metro Cars will include their commitment to the Disability Taxi Charter on their website to reassure clients when booking and will be displaying the Charter in the office.
