Pro-Active Community became a registered charity in 2020, representing people with learning disabilities, autism, and acquired brain injury in Surrey and Sussex. The group are all people with lived experience of these various conditions.
Together we are part of, and contribute to, our communities through paid work, voluntary work, and fundraising.
Everyone in the Pro-Active Community support each other and are strong advocates for themselves.
Our goal is to become a Surrey wide user-led network where our voices are heard and we connect to make real change.
Award winning
We have won awards for co-production including Learning Disability and Autism Leader, Most Innovative Activity programme involving service users, The Learning Disability and Autism Awards with Winner ‘superhero of our sector’.
Our work
We run peer-led activities which are fully accessible and host online events. By working with organisations, we have our say on policies that affect us.
