Community Work
As a network together we are part of, and contribute to, our communities through paid work, voluntary work, and fundraising.
Activities & Events
We run peer-led activities which are fully accessible and we host online events. We share and support information through inviting guest speakers on specific topics.
Training & Support
We undertake peer leadership training and take part in applicant interviews. We co-produced LeDeR training videos which are used by healthcare professionals and are currently working with Active Prospects to co-design training materials.
Local Authority
By working with organisations, we have our say on policies and Local Authority plans that affect us. We put our views forward to Councilors and MP’s, working with them to resolve our issues.
Quality Checks
The Pro-Active Community offers an ‘Experts by Experience’ Quality Checker Service. This service is available to all support providers and everyone is welcome to take part in Quality Checker Training.
Each Quality Checker has completed an Active Prospects training program or The NHS Peer Leadership Award. To find out more contact us at hello@proactivecommunity.org.uk
Health & Wellbeing
It’s important that we promote positive health and wellbeing which we do through joining regional focus groups.
