Heritage Open Day intergenerational sharing

Joining the heritage Day preparations at Barchester Healthcare on Friday 6th September, Pro-Active Community Co-Chair Matthew Leadbeater shared the important message of accessibility and invited all those at the gathering to take part in the upcoming fundraising PAC Bake Off!!

Hearing the interesting history of Pine End, celebrating its centenary next year, residents talked about their childhood memories and their own knowledge of the building, it’s past owners and garden designers.

Matthew talked to the group about current health campaigns and sustainability projects, hi-lighted the importance of reasonable adjustments, as well as the necessity for experts with lived experience being included in planning.

Several residents agreed how they value being at the planning stages of services intended for them, understanding only too well the importance of engagement, consultation and preferably co-producing.

Karyn Borngräber yet again demonstrated excellent knowledge of not only the beautiful home, but of each individual at todays gathering, offering an opportunity for everyone to gain as much as possible.

Thank you for inviting Pro-Active Community to be a part of your Heritage Day preparations and giving us a chance to raise more awareness about the charity.
