Surrey People's Group Guest Speakers

A brilliant presentation by the Chair Leanne and co Chair Michael McL, supported by fellow members Matthew, Matthew S, Emma Jane, Michael F, Elizabeth W and Board members Edward Cooke and Nicki Fraser, sharing the Disability Taxi Charter.

The Surrey People’s Group, facilitated by Amanda Aldridge and Mary Hendricks Surrey County Council invited the Pro-Active Community to join other Surrey care providers in a focus event reviewing and discussing travel and transport across the county, for adults with a learning disability.

Great engagement from everyone, interactive ideas and the chance to further co-produce the next stage - encouraging Surrey to explore making disability awareness training a mandatory part of taxi licencing.

Thank you so much for inviting such a diverse and inclusive group to discuss what makes a difference for those using the services.
