Session 4 - over half way through

Session 4 done and dusted!! The most delicious smelling chicken tikka masala was created tonight in the cooking group at East Surrey College supported adult class.

Nicola Hoad led with encouraging an independent approach so everyone chopped, stirred, marinated and cooked up the flavoursome ‘fakeaway’ proving how simple it can be to make your own healthier option from ingredients.

It’s wonderful seeing the members of this cooking group proving to themselves they can make whatever they like with the right guidance, easier to read recipe methods with lots of images to follow, and support to make it all happen, at the right pace.

Pat said, “I’ve never cooked a curry before, it was good to make myself, and the rice too, it tastes nice”

Half way through and these Tuesday sessions are so looked forward to, so much so a half term break was nearly cooked over!!

Three more sessions to go, baking at the next one, orange and chocolate marble muffins and lemon drizzle cake awaits.

Emma Jane has shared some of the Slimming World recipes or made some adaptations - brilliant!

Bon appetite!
