Head2Head for South Tandridge Meeting

Pro-Active Community member Michael represented the charity at the South Tandridge Health & Wellbeing Neighbourhood meeting today, hosted at Head2Head Sensory Theatre in Oxted.

Thank you to Lee Pegrum for bringing everyone together at somewhere new.

Fantastic venue for accessibility and an interactive professional touring theatre group well worth exploring further if you want new sensory activities.

Topics of conversation shared by local representatives included Surrey Fire and Rescue talking about home fire safety, safe & well checks, referrals and small things we can support everyone to review.

Accessibility, for transport and working, lack of understanding what is truly needed by those with a disability. Easy read literature is so helpful, making the contents of brochures or forms available to more people.

Working age adults, what reasonable adjustments are needed, what care provisions are made available for young children, and why are support groups all offered during the working day meaning parents can’t always attend with their children, if they have to work.
